FDA Hosting 2011 Webinars for Tobacco Retailers

Topics to be based on retailer feedback, suggestions
WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products is hosting a new series of one-hour webinars for retailers on federal tobacco regulations. Designed to give retailers updated, relevant FDA compliance training information, the series features an interactive format with topics based on retailers' suggestions and live Q&A sessions during each webinar.

Dates for the 2011 Compliance Training for Tobacco Retailers Webinar Series are March 29, April 26, May 18, June 28, July 26 and September 20. All times are 1:00 p.m. EST. Downloadable [image-nocss] PowerPoint presentations will be posted one to two weeks before each scheduled webinar date.

The session topics will be based on retailer feedback and suggestions, and the FDA Center for Tobacco Products is seeking retailer-generated topics for all of the webinars. It asks retailers to send topic ideas to AskCTP@fda.hhs.gov.

Retailers may participate via live webcast or by phone. No registration required; limited web connections and phone lines are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants can submit questions during the webinar by clicking on the "Q&A" box; if listening by phone, call (877) 287-1373.
