NATO Trade Show Draws More Support

Additional companies commit to tobacco retailer group's 2011 inaugural event
MINNEAPOLIS -- The National Association of Tobacco Outlets (NATO) said that it has continued to receive commitments from member companies to exhibit at the association's inaugural trade show to be held in Las Vegas in 2011. The most recent companies to commit to exhibiting are Nat Sherman, New Image Global, Smokey Mountain Chew, Zander-Greg and K. K. International Corp.

Arango Cigar Co., Carolina Tobacco, Dom Rey Cigar, Inc./Cusano Cigars, Drew Estate, Harold Levinson Associates, House of Oxford, King Maker Marketing, Renegade Tobacco/House of Windsor, Smoker Friendly International, [image-nocss] U.S. Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers and Zippo Lighter Co. have already formally committed to exhibit at the show.

And Altadis USA, Swisher International, Swedish Match, Republic Tobacco and National Tobacco Co. had previously formally committed to exhibit at the show.

John Dan Gielen, chairman of Tobacco Plus Discount Outlet stores, based in Crowley, La., and a director on the NATO board, summed up the trade show response by saying, "The retailers in the tobacco business know that NATO is our there fighting for them everyday, and this industry is happy to support the association's trade show because everyone knows it will generate more resources for NATO to fight the tobacco battles, and since NATO is a non-profit organization, every penny generated from the show is put right back into tobacco legislative efforts. If you're a retailer, than I can't see why you won't support the show."

Minneapolis-based NATO is a national retail trade association that focuses exclusively on state and federal tobacco legislative issues and leads the fight for all tobacco interests in the United States.
