Smoker Friendly: Future 'Bright'

2010 Tobacco Festival & Conference, cigar fest celebrate "exciting yet tumultuous year"
BOULDER, Colo. -- Smoker Friendly International held its annual Tobacco Festival & Conference August 30 to September 1 at the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder, Colo. More than 400 attendees were at the event, including Smoker Friendly authorized dealers, tobacco manufacturers, tobacco accessory manufacturers and potential Smoker Friendly retailers.

The festival and conference kicked off with the first annual Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival, a consumer-based tasting of fine cigars, food and beer, wine and local distilleries. More than 1,200 people attended the event, [image-nocss] Smoker Friendly said.

"Monday and Tuesday were loaded with industry information at all levels," Mary Szarmach, vice president of trade marketing for Smoker Friendly, said in a statement.
She added, "Giving tobacco retailers and manufacturers plenty to think about as they go back to their day-to-day businesses; 2010 has been an exciting yet tumultuous year for the tobacco industry, but a gathering such as this is a great reminder that the future for these commodities is bright, and we are here to provide tobacco pleasure for our adult consumers."

With more than 700 stores across the United States, Boulder, Colo.-based Smoker Friendly is America's largest cigarette and tobacco store (CTS) retailer. The Smoker Friendly Authorized Dealer Program is designed for existing retail tobacco store operators who wish to market their own brand of competitively priced private-label products within an exclusive territory that is geographically protected. This program is for the tobacco retailer who would like the advantages of a buying group; wants more interaction with other cigarette and tobacco store retailers including information and idea sharing; clout with manufacturers; and the greater synergies that a nationally known private-label brand like Smoker Friendly provides.
