While snack-bar sales in convenience stores as a whole are growing (up 2.9% in 2014), the subcategory of breakfast bars is flat in dollar sales and down 2.8% in volume sales, according to IRI data. Instead, the growth was in nutritional bars, which grew volume sales by 8.7%.
