For the second year in a row, the Buc-ee’s fuel brand leads CSP’s Fuels 50, this time with a market efficiency that is nearly 4 points higher than its nearest competition. One big reason behind its volume-drawing powers: Buc-ee’s priced its gasoline more than 10.3 cents per gallon below its market competition in 2017, according to OPIS.

The Lake Jackson, Texas-based chain is known for its massive fuel islands with dozens of dispensers, 70,000-square-foot c-stores and award-winning restrooms. All locations sell Buc-ee’s branded fuels, supplied by distributor R.B. Stewart Petroleum of Angleton, Texas. In 2017, Buc-ee’s earned a Guinness World Record for having the longest car wash in the world, and it announced plans to expand beyond its Texas base to build the largest c-store in Florida.
