Airport Plazas Landing at Cincinnati/N. Ky. International Airport

Closes on $7 million funding for next plaza; four more coming in 2011
JERICHO, N.Y. -- Airport Plazas LLC, a specialized developer of retail gas plazas inside airport grounds, has announced that on December 30, it closed on tax-free bond financing for its next plaza at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The deal provides Airport Plazas with a $7 million loan facility through Aviation Capital Partners (AvCap). Airport Plazas will fund $1.5 million from its own funds for a total investment of $8.5 million for the construction of the plaza. The plaza will offer fuel, car wash, light auto repair, a restaurant and a c-store.

Situated [image-nocss] on just under 1.5 acres, the property will feature a 9,800-square-foot main building and a fueling canopy with more than 40 parking spaces. The location will be within walking distance of the terminals, located off of Interstate 275.

"We are excited to be bringing new services to CVG Airport that will also cater to passengers, nonflying public and airport staff," said George Abi Zeid, president and CEO of Airport Plazas.

"The project is expected to break ground in March, open in October and will create both short and long term jobs," said Stefano Pascucci, executive vice president of business development.

Airport Plazas is also planning to break ground at four additional airports in 2011. The company has contracted BOVIS Lend Lease to manage the construction on this site and all sites throughout the country.

With more than 20 years' experience developing and operating service plazas in the New York metro area, Airport Plazas designs, constructs and operates airport plazas throughout the country. Exclusively located at airports, the plazas service the needs of airport employees, related airport staff and passengers. Typical plazas offer gasoline, CNG, biodiesel, convenience store, light auto repair, towing, car wash, food court and off-site dry cleaning.

Aviation Capital Partners, a DAMG Worldwide company, provides creative financial solutions to operators on airports worldwide. Focusing on the real-estate aspects of a company's investment, AvCap through its innovative lease structure will provide long-term funding to the operator to match the duration of its leasehold interest.
