CarterEnergy Adds ExxonMobil

Marketer-distributor expands brand offering with new supply relationship
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- CarterEnergy Corp., a marketer and distributor of transportation fuels, said that it has entered into a supply relationship with Exxon Mobil Corp. Under the agreement, CarterEnergy will be able to offer the Exxon and Mobil brands to its convenience store customer offerings in geographic territories that have the ExxonMobil product available.

"We share the same vision to develop high-quality locations in Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Oklahoma," said Dave Milligan, senior vice president of retail development for [image-nocss] CarterEnergy. "Not only does this benefit current customers within our service area, it will help us reach more potential customers in additional geographic regions."

This new supply relationship positions CarterEnergy as one of the few fuel marketers that can offer all branded fuel supply options to retail customers, it said. "This is a huge competitive advantage for CarterEnergy," said Deborah Baska, vice president of marketing operations. "Our founder, Sam Carter, was a pioneer of the multibranded fuel marketer concept back in 1983. Today, our customers enjoy the full-menu of branded options when they choose CarterEnergy as their fuel distributor."

Added Milligan, "We truly believe that we have further strengthened CarterEnergy's role as the 'complete energy source' in our customers' minds."

Overland Park, Kan.-based CarterEnergy is a leader in the marketing and distribution of transportation fuels, distributing 141 different energy products within the Midwest and Gulf regions, spanning both retail and commercial businesses of varying sizes and scope. It also provides fleet and commercial fueling services in and around the Kansas City metropolitan area and operates a fleet of transports in four major metropolitan markets.
