Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline, recommended by seven of the world’s top automakers, goes beyond U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) minimum detergent requirements, containing a premium additive package that exceeds industry standards for improved fuel efficiency and engine performance.
“Today’s more fuel-efficient engines require higher-quality fuel to operate at peak performance,” said Akhtar Hussain, CHS refined fuels brand marketing manager. “Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline is blended with an improved detergent package that reduces harmful engine deposits and helps clean an engine as it runs.
With a cleaning additive package that exceeds industry standards, Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline is proven to reduce metallic deposits on engine intake valves, fuel injectors and combustion chambers and prevent intake valves from sticking. The detergent additive package is blended into every gallon of Cenex-brand gasoline, across all octane levels, so drivers will receive better performance from every tank.
CHS will launch a marketing campaign to educate consumers about the benefits of Cenex Top Tier Detergent Gasoline and the role it plays in improving performance and extending vehicle life. Cenex retailers will receive additional marketing tools, including a new pump design, which the company will implement at all locations in 2016.
