Clark's 'Image 2010'

Gasoline brand announces enhancements including new dispenser, valance graphics
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Clark Brands is implementing two enhancements to the Clark gasoline brand image. These enhancements are part of a comprehensive effort under way by Clark to continue to move the Clark brand forward and into the next decade, that will be known as Image 2010 and will launch early in 2009.

"Our licensees, dealers and customers believe in the value of the Clark brand. Having a fresh, clean image at the pump plays a big role in conveying our value," Karl Goodhouse, Clark's president, said. "While we're still putting the finishing touches on Image 2010, these [image-nocss] two image enhancements are a part of this initiative and will add value to our branded offering. We're excited about both of these upgrades and the improvements to our program and to our image, and think our existing and prospective customers will be too."

First, Clark is announcing that it has entered into a vendor partnership with Couch & Philippi to produce its patented preprinted and fabricated DoorSkins that are simple and easy for customers to install. The Clark DoorSkins are designed to re-image the lower doors of most dispensers in the industry today. They don't require special installation and can be installed at minimal to no cost by company employees.

"We're pleased to have Couch & Philippi as a partner and to be able to offer this new Clark DoorSkins image option to our customers," said Goodhouse. "They produce a great product that is priced right and easy to install. We think the Couch & Philippi product enhances not only the Clark image, but also our brand value to our Licensees and their customers." The new Clark DoorSkins option is currently being rolled out to all Clark licensees.

"We are excited to bring to the Clark brand an imaging product that has been tried, tested, and proven throughout the industry and across multiple brands. In today's economic climate, the cost savings in labor alone provides some much needed relief for our customers, and we're very pleased about that," said Leif Olson, Couch & Philippi's petroleum accounts manager.

At the same time, Clark is updating its dispenser graphics by creating new valance graphics that are more visually appealing and prominently feature the Clark logo. The new valance graphics are being produced by LSI Graphic Solutions Plus, Clark's primary image partner, and are available to Clark licensees immediately.

Naperville, Ill.-based Clark Brands owns the Clark family of brands. The company licenses the Clark gasoline brand and the Four Corners Coffee brand to independent petroleum marketers and retailers. Clark also processes credit card and payment transactions for independents in 28 states.

Couch & Philippi, Stanton, Calif., is a manufacturer of metal imaging products and provider of inventory management, project management and image design services.

Cincinnati-based LSI Graphic Solutions Plus designs, produces, markets and manages custom indoor and outdoor graphics programs including signage, menu board systems, decorative fixtures and LED displays and digital signage. LSI Graphic Solutions Plus has been providing Clark-branded image elements since 1993. It specifically manufactures the following for Clark Brands: canopy and building fascia film and logos; entry door decals; dispenser door graphics; dispenser product ID panels; dispenser valance graphics; and fuel island regulatory and warning decals.
