CSP & Telvent DTN Alliance

Petroleum information experts will provide analysis to daily news, magazine
OMAHA, Neb. & OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Petroleum information specialists Telvent DTN has entered into an exclusive strategic alliance with CSP Information Group to provide fuel pricing intelligence and fuel market analysis for CSP's readers. Readers will be able to capture DTN's highly regarded analysis in both CSP Daily News and CSP magazine.

"We have heard from jobbers, retail chains and independents about their need for greater insight on how to best navigate through the volatility of fuel supply and pricing," said CSP group editor Mitch Morrison.

"[image-nocss] Through this alliance we will be able to provide readers with exclusive insights from the country's premier petroleum information-services provider," Morrison added. "Telvent DTN has relationships with many of the top c-store and retail-petroleum chains. Their analysis is superb, and their insight invaluable. This adds a fantastic new value for our readers."

The timing of this agreement coincides with CSP's move to more than double CSP magazine's circulation to more than 102,000 readers in 2010, becoming the industry's largest single publication.

"Our customers require instant access to intra-day fuel-price moves and a constant stream of information throughout the day to make the best fuel selling and buying decisions," said Karen Madden, general manager, refined fuels, Telvent DTN. "We are excited to expand our editorial relationship with CSP to reach out to the industry and provide strategic, actionable information around the forecourt for readers."

As part of the agreement, Telvent DTN will continue to contribute weekly rack price information from DTN FastRacks electronic price discovery service. Click here to view rack prices for the week ending October 16.

In addition, Cathy Duncan, executive director of marketer solutions at Telvent DTN, will provide quarterly bylined articles that will deliver key takeaways for CSP readers. Also, Brian Milne, Telvent DTN's refined fuels editor, will furnish monthly reports detailing "a day in the market." Milne's report will analyze regional intra-day rack-price movements with a focus on charting to help explain trends.
