On-Demand Fueling Service Adds Cleveland and St. Louis Markets

Yoshi continues to expand on heels of ExxonMobil investment

SAN FRANCISCO -- One week after launching into the Twin Cities and Tampa, Fla., Yoshi has introduced its on-demand fueling services to two more new markets: Cleveland and St. Louis.

Yoshi supplies gasoline, oil changes, car washes and other car-maintenance services on demand. Consumers order, specify a time and location for the services in the Yoshi app, and then Yoshi brings the service to the customer. Orders are also paid for through the app.

For Cleveland, Yoshi is serving the downtown area, as well as the suburbs of Pepper Pike and Beachwood, Ohio. And for St. Louis, Yoshi’s service area includes downtown and the Central West End neighborhood, as well as Brentwood and Clayton, Mo. As with its recent launches in Chicago, Minneapolis and Tampa, Yoshi is offering a free month trial to new customers and a $10 credit. With the addition of these latest markets, Yoshi is now operating in 10 U.S. cities, including the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles; Austin, Texas; Atlanta; and Nashville.

Yoshi recently raised $13.7 million in a round of investments from ExxonMobil Corp. and General Motors, among others. It plans to ramp up its expansion to 25 cities by the end of 2018.

“Yoshi saves time for customers by eliminating the need to stop for gas or routine maintenance,” said Nick Alexander, CEO of San Francisco-based Yoshi. He said the service enjoys monthly double-digit growth in all of its markets.
