Eggleston Joins Toot'n Totum

Industry vet was with Fina, Alon, Susser

AMARILLO, Texas -- Toot'n Totum Food Stores LLC has hired industry veteran Robert Eggleston as vice president of supply and transportation.

Greg Mitchell, president and CEO of Toot'n Totum, made the announcement, saying Eggleston "is a man of prodigious talent who will complement our existing leadership team. His evidentiary experience in all aspects of fuel procurement, retailing and logistics will be a key component in the success of our future business model as we move to expand our portfolio to 63 locations."

Eggleston began his career with Fina Oil & Chemical [image-nocss] Co./Alon USA where he worked in refinery operations, environmental, pricing and supply. In 2003, he joined Town & Country Food Stores Inc. as director of petroleum marketing and was vice president of petroleum marketing at the time of its acquisition by Susser Petroleum Co. in 2007.

As vice president of supply and transportation for Susser Petroleum, Eggleston was responsible for fuel procurement for the retail, wholesale and dealer trade across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He managed multiple departments including supply, distribution, fleet, and the customer service center to insure the accurate and safe delivery of petroleum to both internal and external customers. He led initiatives for ethanol blending programs, cost reductions, pricing methods and other best practices in the petroleum industry.

"Every constant in the fuel industry has changed over the past 10 years," said Mitchell. "Buying, selling, hedging, storing and transporting now require specific professional expertise at the very highest level. We are thrilled to have a person of Mr. Eggleston's caliber joining our company and bringing to us a competitive edge in the management of our fuel division."

Toot'n Totum is a privately owned convenience store chain located in Amarillo, Texas. The company is 60 years old, with 61 stores, and recently announced expansion plans for 2010 that will bring the portfolio to 63 stores upon completion.
