Gulf Oil Expands National Field Sales Team

Gannon, Robleski-Chmelik to cover South, Midwest, respectively

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Branded marketer Gulf Oil LP has added two industry veterans to its team as part of Gulf's national expansion efforts. Focused on the South and Midwest regions, each of these new managers brings expertise, area contacts and more to accelerate the company's growth in these key markets.

The new members of the Gulf team helping with national expansion efforts include Christopher Gannon, senior account manager for the South and Careyann Robleski-Chmelik, account manager for the Midwest.

"Since Gulf Oil began our national expansion efforts in 2010, when we acquired all rights to the Gulf brand in the U.S., we have seen incredible results," said Gulf senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer Rick Dery.

"We have grown from a portfolio of approximately 1,700 supplied Gulf locations in 11 states to a network of over 2,500 branded retail stations across 30 states, with extraordinary relationships with hundreds of dealers and distributors," he said. "But, we're not stopping there--we are committed to bringing the iconic Gulf brand and trusted service to even more highways, byways and routes across the country."

Gannon is focusing on business development and expansion efforts across the southern states of Florida, Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the industry to the Gulf team, including management positions with brands such as Getty, Apache Oil and Lukoil North America.

He also spearheaded Gulf's new relationship with Bumpers Oil, bringing the brand back to Alabama for the first time in two decades.

Robleski-Chmelik joins Gulf with more than 12 years of industry experience, which she will bring to bear on behalf of the company in Midwest states including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She was most recently with Capra Consulting Group, where she focused on technology, payment, security and loyalty solutions for the firm's petroleum and convenience store clients. Prior to that, she managed business development and accounts for Clark Brands LLC (the Clark gasoline brand, Four Corners Coffee and On the Go convenience stores).

She began her work in the market as owner and operator of the Coffee Depot Deli & Bakery in Lisle, Ill., where for six years she understood from the store owner's point of view what it takes for a supplier to deliver superior service and value.

"We are thrilled to welcome Chris and Careyann to our team," said Dery. "They each have the background, experience, regional contacts and knowhow to help accelerate Gulf's presence in their regions. More than one million customers pass through a facility supplied or branded by Gulf every day--and thanks to Chris, Careyann and the entire field team, we have driving our expansion, that number is continuing to climb."

Gulf Oil pioneered the concept of branded product sales in the early 20th century by selling gasoline in containers and from pumps marked with the distinctive orange disc Gulf logo. Customers during this period sought out Gulf branded stations because they were assured of the quality and consistency of its gasoline. Quality and consistency remain the hallmarks of the company.

Gulf Oil is a national, branded supplier of motor fuels throughout the United States and its territories. It is one of the Northeast's largest wholesalers of refined petroleum products. Gulf Oil distributes motor fuels through a network of more than 2,500 branded gasoline retail centers, 12 proprietary oil terminals and more than 130 other supply points. Gulf Oil supplies gasoline, heating oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and kerosene through its terminal network.
