Gulf Oil Makes a Growing Splash in Florida, Texas

Branded supply now available in Tampa and several Texas markets

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. -- Gulf Oil’s brand rollout continues in two of the biggest states for fuel marketers in the country: Florida and Texas.

The fuel marketer’s introduction of branded wet barrel supply to the Tampa market is the latest step in its expansion in Florida, where it has other Gulf branded locations. The company expects the Gulf brand to resonate with tourists to Hillsborough County who recognize it from its original footprint in the Northeast.

“Gulf has a long-standing history of providing exceptional service to our customers and consumers,” said Meredith L. Sadlowski, senior vice president of branded sales and marketing for Gulf Oil, in a statement. “We look forward to building new branded partnerships with fuel distributors in the Florida market by providing flexible service offerings to assist with their business growth. We will continue our unwaivering support as the brand expands further into the Tampa region.”

At the same time the Gulf brand is rolling out in Florida, it is also doing so in several major Texas markets, including Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and Waco. The company was originally founded in Beaumont, Texas, more than 110 years ago.

“We are pleased to be able to provide motorists with quality Gulf branded fuel and look forward to continued growth with our partners here in the great state of Texas, where the Gulf legacy was born in the early 1900s,” said Todd O’Malley, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Gulf Oil.

Gulf Oil’s main selling points to potential distributor partners include its dependable supply, flexible service offerings, strong customer service, a commitment to continued growth and an increased brand presence.

Gulf, based in Wellesley Hills, Mass., owns and operates 17 proprietary terminals in the Northeast and supplies gasoline, heating oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and kerosene through its network of 75 other refined petroleum product terminals.
