The purchase includes 30 supplier contracts of dealers in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma, the company said. These stores will continue to offer Phillips 66, Conoco and Shell fuel brands.

“These independent dealer sites align well geographically with our existing dealers, allowing us to provide the service and support independent operators need,” said Jon Ihler, vice president of sales, marketing and quality control. “The purchase also allows us to work with other major fuel suppliers with whom we haven’t worked in the past.”

MFA Oil purchased APM in November 2013. It distributes fuel to more than 60 Cenex-branded sites, along with unbranded fuel, in nine states.

APM said it continues to look for opportunities to partner with convenience-store owners and dealers in its existing market area as well as expand its footprint to other states.

Columbia, Mo.-based MFA Oil Co. is a farmer-owned cooperative with more than 40,000 members. The company is the largest supplier of propane in Missouri and created the Break Time convenience stores in 1985 through its subsidiary, MFA Petroleum, which also operates the Big O Tire and Jiffy Lube franchises in mid-Missouri. In addition to propane, MFA Oil also sells fuels and lubricants to customers in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Iowa, many through unmanned fuel lots throughout the region. There are 78 Break Time c-stores in Missouri and Arkansas.
