First branch in Gem State is petroleum, car wash equipment maker's 16th

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest Pump & Equipment will be opening its 16th branch, located in Boise, Idaho, on February 1, 2012. The Boise location will offer petroleum equipment and parts as well as industrial pumps and compressors.

The new branch marks the company's first location in the state of Idaho.

"We've been proudly serving the Idaho market from our Pasco and Spokane [Wash.] branches for many years," said Bill Mathews, sales manager for Oregon, Eastern Washington and Idaho. "Now with the addition of our Boise location, we will be able to better serve our customers across the Northern Mountain States."

Northwest Pump & Equipment is one of the largest distributors of petroleum, industrial and car wash equipment in the western United States, offering a comprehensive inventory of brands and service.

It was founded in 1959 with branches in Portland, Seattle and Spokane, Wash. The purchase of Shaw & Little Inc. in 2000 added branches in San Diego and Phoenix. Since then, eight new branches have been opened to serve growing populations in California, Nevada and Washington. These branches are located in Glendale, Sacramento, Fresno. Fremont and Anaheim, Calif., Las Vegas, Pasco, Wash., and Tucson, Ariz. In addition to the cities and states listed, Northwest Pump also serves customers in Baja, Mexico, Idaho and Montana.
