REG Aims to Bring More Biodiesel to Truckstops

Rolls out retail blending program

AMES, Iowa -- Renewable Energy Group Inc. (REG), a biodiesel producer and marketer, has announced a new program to make biodiesel more available at truckstops across the nation.

The REG Retail Biodiesel Blending Program includes biodiesel injection equipment paired with a supply agreement for large volumes of biodiesel. Truckstop operators selling large volumes of diesel fuel can increase their profit margins with the REG Retail Biodiesel Blending Program, the company said.

As part of the supply agreement, REG said it plans to remotely monitor biodiesel tank levels in order to offer [image-nocss] customers an automated reorder process. The biodiesel injection system equipment is compatible with existing infrastructure and allows truckstop operators to remotely adjust biodiesel blend levels on a daily basis based on local economics and diesel prices.

Ames, Iowa-based REG is a full-service biodiesel company offering plant management; risk management; raw material procurement; plant construction management; and biodiesel production, sales and marketing services. REG's network of biodiesel production facilities includes a wholly owned biodiesel plant and management of third-party plants. It markets biodiesel to fuel distributors and customers in many industries, including on-highway fleets; original equipment manufacturers; and maritime, military, home heating and agriculture industries.
