RKA Adds New Position

Alderete will serve as VP of supply, transportation
ROMULUS, Mich. -- RKA Petroleum Cos. Inc., a leader in the fuel transportation and services industry, has added Brian Alderete as its vice president of supply and transportation. This is a new position for RKA as a result of growth delivering fuel to its commercial, government and retail customers.

In his position, Alderete oversees all aspects of RKA's transportation division, including that of RKA's sister company, Rex Petroleum Cos. Inc.

Alderate's strong background in both the fuel and the transportation industries adds more than 15 years of experience to the [image-nocss] company. Most recently he served as vice president of supply and logistics for Fleet Card Fuels and Nikolaus Tank Lines in Bakersfield, Calif.

Alderate's resume also includes holding professional leadership positions at Pan Pacific Petroleum Co. Inc., Wholesale Fuels Inc., and USA Transport, all located in California.

Romulus, Mich.-based RKA distributes refined and renewable fuel products and provides fuel management solutions to commercial, industrial and government customers in 24 states. RKA serves the retail industry in Florida, Michigan and Ohio. Rex Carriers Inc., Romulus, offers logistics management throughout 24 states and Ontario, Canada. Land & Sea Petroleum Holdings Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., distributes refined fuel products in Florida.
