Spinx Opens 11 New E85 Locations

Retailer planning additional altfuel sites

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Stewart Spinks, founder of The Spinx Co. Inc., has recently added alternative fuel E85 to 11 of his 103 fueling locations in North and South Carolina. Spinks also is planning to add additional E85 locations at other sites soon.

Stewert Spinks believes doing what he can for the country, said Jerry Sprouse of Spinx. We're trying to stay atop of the latest and greatest.

The new Spinx E85 stations are located in Columbia, [image-nocss] Greenville, Greer, Landrum, Liberty, Simsonville, Taylors and Travelers Rest, S.C. The addresses for these facilities can be found at www.E85Fuel.com.

Wendy Bell, coordinator of the Palmetto State Clean Fuels Coalition, assisted with the projects. The Palmetto State Clean Fuels Coalition has worked for years to expand alternative fuel infrastructure across South Carolina and is fortunate to have a partnership with the Spinx Co., she said. Spinx is to be congratulated for their leadership in the use of ethanol. They are a model ethanol retailer whose effort should be duplicated by other groups across the state and nation.

Spinx is also a member of the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition. We applaud Spinx Co. for their dedication to this alternative fuel, said Phil Lampert, executive director of that group. Stewert Spinks is clearly an entrepreneur that recognizes the potential that is offered by selling E85. We are grateful to Stewart for his leadership and are proud to have such advocates as members of the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition.
