TA holds Nashville reopening; Pilot Flying J opens new truckstop in Weed, Calif.
WESTLAKE, Ohio & KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) and Pilot Flying J Inc. have opened new travel centers. TA said that it will hold a "Six-String Celebration" grand reopening event March 1-6 at the newly remodeled and reopened TA location outside downtown Nashville, Tenn. Pilot Flying J has opened a new facility in Weed, Calif.

For the new TA location, the official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Mayor of the City of Nashville and other city dignitaries will take place on March 1.

Actor John Ratzenberger, from TV's Cheers and Made [image-nocss] in America and from Pixar's Toy Story films, Nashville recording artist and former professional truck driver Aaron Tippin, long-haul professional truck driver and singer Joey Holliday and local Nashville singers will make appearances during the week. There will also be a radio remote broadcast of Nashville native Dave Nemo, Sirius/XM Road Dog Network radio personality from inside the facility.

Drivers can also seek health and wellness information from the Medical Research Vehicle (MeRV) in the TA parking lot. In addition, the Lucas Oil race car simulator will be on hand, also in the parking lot, on March 3-4. For a small donation to the St. Christopher's Driver Relief Fund, drivers can recreate the excitement and reality of a dirt track racer.

Throughout the week, prize wheels within the MeRV and the Lucas Oil simulator will allow drivers to win prizes. Also, special promotional cards featuring a gift guitar pick enables customers to "pick" their favorite deal to experience while visiting the TA Nashville site.

The TA Nashville site is situated off of I-24 at Exit 48 near the Tennessee Titans football stadium.
