SAN ANTONIO -- VP Racing Fuels Inc. has appointed Kelley Hendel as general manager of consumer products. Based at the company's corporate headquarters in San Antonio, Hendel will be responsible for overseeing customer service and support for distributors, dealers and retail customers who purchase VP's consumer products including VP Small Engine Fuels, VP Madditives and VP PowerWash, as well as VP PowerMaster hobby fuel.
With VP Racing Fuels since 1995, Hendel most recently had been responsible for managing operations and customer service for the seven-state western sales region from VP's Western Division office in Murrieta, Calif.
Hendel is an avid motorsports fan and rides both dirt and street motorcycles. She enjoys driving any sports car with a proper manual transmission and has participated in a number of track day events.
In a related move, Josh Hoffner, has been promoted to office manager for the VP Western Region office, replacing Hendel.
And in other company news, Palmetto, Fla.-based Andersen Promotions has announced that VP Racing Fuels will be the exclusive fuel supplier for Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires beginning in 2015. The four-year alliance will see VP's support expand to the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda in 2016.
VP will supply all competitors with its Motorsport 100 (MS100) fuel--an unleaded gasoline blended with 10% ethanol that remains consistent from race to race. It will also support the series through other marketing initiatives.
The first series test of the new Dallara IL-15 will take place on December 16/17 at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Fla. The expanded 16-race 2015 schedule will kick off on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., on March 28 and 29 in support of the Verizon IndyCar Series.
