PMAA bestowed the "Best in the U.S." honor on Patriot Capital on behalf of the group's 8,000 member companies in the petroleum marketing and convenience store industry.

"Because Patriot has such a great reputation in the industry, I am not at all surprised they were voted the best in the U.S." said Dan Gilligan, president of PMAA.

"To be honored as 'best in the U.S.' by the nation's fuel marketers and jobbers is indeed a high honor," said Chris Santy, president of Patriot Capital Corp. "We appreciate the PMAA members' recognition of our partnership and our commitment to providing hassle-free financing solutions to the retail and commercial petroleum industry. We look forward to continue helping America's entrepreneurs to succeed."

PMAA is a federation of 48 state and regional trade associations. Its stated mission is to "nationally unify petroleum marketers through their state and regional associations in order to effectively further the common business interests of the petroleum marketing industry."

Atlanta-based Patriot Capital provides equipment financing to retailers in the convenience store and retail petroleum fueling industries. It is a leading provider of capital equipment financing and leasing to the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) and Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) members.
