KSS Fuels Announces New Mobile Fuels Pricing Capability

Launches new mobile solution that uses smart phones and tablets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- KSS Fuels has announced the launch of a new mobile solution for its flagship retail fuels pricing application. Beginning in July users will be able to "price anytime, anywhere, in minutes" using smartphones or tablets.

The new mobile capability uses smart phones and tablets to collect fuel price surveys, generate pump prices and analyze site performance with full integration to point-of-sale (POS) systems and electronic pole signs.

Running on Apple iOS or Android, the app verifies competitor fuel price surveys by logging the current location of the user and by uploading photos of the price sign and/or pump price displays, thereby ensuring prices are established using accurate competitor data. The app is easy to use with map-based visualizations of local markets, allowing users to access the data they need for immediate reaction to market changes and competitor price moves.

"The most important aspect of fuels pricing is to react quickly to changes in the market whether that be competitor price moves, cost changes or other reasons. Our new mobile fuels pricing capability will allow petroleum retailers to react within minutes from the survey to the pump, anytime anywhere, in the office or on the road, using a smartphone or tablet. This new capability is the first phase of a new generation of pricing and planning solutions that we will be launching in September," said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels.
