Cold-brew coffee is already penetrating mainstream quick-service and cafe menus. Coffee-cafe chains such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Starbucks are all promoting their own versions.

Dunkin’ Donuts launched cold-brew coffee in 2016, following it up with specialty drinks and limited-time offers, such as the Sweet & Salted Cold Brew. It features Dunkin' Donuts' signature cold brew, sweetened with liquid cane sugar and a proprietary salted whipped topping—hitting on the trend toward sweet and salty flavor combinations.
