Through Jan. 23, the convenience-store chain is asking patrons of participating locations to make a $1 donation to the foundation. In return, donors will have the opportunity to write their names on pinups to be displayed during the month.

Fifteen public art installations will be developed via placemaking strategies and community workshops for city officials, residents, scenic byway boards, local arts organizations, local artists and schools to identify public art concepts that reflect each community’s identity and stimulate cultural tourism. Artists will be selected to create public art based on concepts articulated by each community.

“We are excited to be partnering with Casey’s to bring art to rural byway communities in Iowa. We believe these art pieces will be an excellent addition to Iowa’s already vibrant communities and will encourage visitors to travel across the state to view them,” said Rod Marlatt, Byways of Iowa Foundation chairperson.

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s General Stores is a leading independently owned convenience-store chain that owns and operates more than 1,900 stores in 14 states throughout the greater Midwest.
