PepsiCo has also jumped on board and Duchess Shoppe will be matching them in a donation of a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Lipton Pure Leaf Iced Tea in all stores during the month of March.

Both the customer donation icons and the Lipton Tea sales during the month will fund critical community services of the Red Cross.

"We're thrilled that Duchess Shoppes are partnering with us for March is Red Cross Month," said Matt Bertram, CEO of the American Red Cross Central-Southeast Ohio Region. "The best way we can honor our volunteers--who truly are Everyday Heroes--is to expand their resources to carry out our mission. And inviting their customers to consider a contribution is a wonderful way to get people involved."

Donations made at Duchess Shoppes during the month of March will fund critical programs of the American Red Cross, including disaster relief, emergency messaging facilitated by Service to the Armed Forces and Community Preparedness Education, among others. The mission of the Red Cross is carried out by a workforce that is made up of 94% volunteers, fueled by the generosity of donors.

"Our company has always been a big supporter of the Red Cross," said Ben Englefield, co-president of Englefield Oil Co./Duchess Shoppes. "We are excited to be celebrating Red Cross Month in all of our stores. We have the ability to reach many people through our wonderful customer base and we hope they will join our mission in honoring the Red Cross' Everyday Heroes."

For more than 70 years, all of our country's presidents, including President Barack Obama, have designated March as Red Cross Month to recognize how the American Red Cross helps people across the country and around the world.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.

Heath, Ohio-based Englefield Oil operates 130 Duchess Shoppe stores throughout Ohio and West Virginia.
