38-Year Veteran Retires From 7-Eleven

Hargrove led real estate, M&A, construction and more

IRVING, Texas --7-Eleven Inc.'s senior vice president of development, Wes Hargrove, will retire from the company Dec. 31 after a 38-year career in many different roles in the field and at the 7-Eleven Store Support Center.

Hargrove has been a mentor and confidant to many 7-Eleven colleagues along the way, demonstrating collaborative leadership, deep knowledge of the business and passion for 7-Eleven, according to the company.

In his current role, which he has held since March 2015, he is responsible for the company's real estate, mergers and acquisitions, construction, facilities and network planning to support strategic growth and store support for the 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States and Canada, according to his LinkedIn profile. Ben Tison is being promoted to Hargrove's position. He was most recently vice president, fuel operations. Previously, Tison held positions of zone leader (Florida) and senior director of operations.  

Hargrove previously was chief information officer, vice president of logistics and senior product director of nonfoods, among other roles, for 7-Eleven, which he joined in 1978.

Hargrove and his wife, Gayle, will relocate to the Austin area, where they are building their retirement dream home, the company said.

Based in Irving, Texas, 7‑Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 60,000 stores in 17 countries, including 10,700 in North America.
