ASBPE Honors CSP

American Society of Business Publication Editors recognizes Katrina coverage

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP magazine's editors were honored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for editorial and graphic excellence in multiple categories for the fifth straight year. Honorees this year were Steve Holtz, Mitch Morrison and Angel Abcede, who received the silver award for Best News/Analysis (Scenes From a Stormand Its Aftermath, October 2005) and the entire CSP editorial staff and Keystroke Graphics for Best Information Graphics (Category Management Handbook, April 2005).

The fact that these are both staff awards [image-nocss] makes this announcement that much more satisfying, said Paul Reuter, president and editorial director of CSP Information Group. It symbolizes everything we strive for as a company: teamwork, industry leadership and top-notch journalism.

CSP's editors were among several winners at the 28th annual ASBPE Midwest-South Regional Awards for editorial excellence. The winners were announced Wednesday, June 14, at the annual awards dinner in Chicago. The information graphics award is a national recognition, to be given out July 20, during the ASBPE 2006 Awards National Competition to be held in Chicago.

Naperville, Ill.-based ASBPE's annual competition recognizes the work by business, trade, professional and association publication editors and editorial designers in several regions and nationwide. Founded in 1964, ASBPE is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade and specialty press.
