Beyonce Shows a Fondness for 7-Eleven

Singer croons the retail brand, sips on a Slurpee

DALLAS -- Beyond a song title and an apparent fondness for Slurpees, Beyonce in not working for 7-Eleven Inc., according to the Dallas-based convenience-store retailer.

The question arose with the release of the singer’s newest song titled “7/11” and related photos she posted on her Instagram account showing her drinking a Slurpee and hanging out with friends with Slurpees.

Other than the title and one lyrical couplet in the song, which was release Tuesday as the sixth single from the singer’s fifth CD titled Beyonce, there’s no reference to the retail chain itself. The photos were posted to Instagram earlier in the week.

Over the years, Beyonce has had endorsements with Pepsi, Tommy Hilfiger and Nintendo, but there is no official link to 7-Eleven Inc.

“We (7-Eleven Inc.) did not collaborate with Beyonce on her video,” a company spokesperson told CSP Daily News, “but we like her choice of beverage in some photos we’ve seen because a Slurpee beverage is the coolest drink on earth!”
