CITGO Hosting 2016 Marketer Roundtable Meetings

Sessions, speakers will highlight company programs, industry best practices

HOUSTON -- For 2016, CITGO Petroleum Corp. is hosting 19 marketer roundtable meetings from Jan. 12 to Feb. 2 within the company’s central, northeast and southern marketing regions.

Throughout the meetings, CITGO branded marketers will learn about new initiatives for 2016, promotional and advertising plans, updates to current consumer engagement programs and business tools, as well as gain insight into industry trends and best practices from guest speakers and CITGO representatives.

“During our annual roundtable meetings, we share exciting news and plans for the year ahead while actively engaging with our marketers to learn about their recent achievements and challenges,” said Alan Flagg, assistant vice president of supply and marketing for CITGO. “We value our relationships with our marketers and work hard to bring them programs that contribute to the success of their businesses. And as the face of CITGO in the local communities, these meetings also provide opportunities for us to show our appreciation for all our Marketers do for the CITGO brand.”

The 2016 marketer Roundtable Meetings will be held in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

They will consist of sessions focused on CITGO programs and industry topics, including:

In addition, each region will feature a guest speaker: Michael Davis, vice president of member services for the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) in the central sessions; Ieva Grimm, owner of Synerge in the northeast sessions; and, Jim Cox, retail development manager for CITGO in the southern sessions.

CITGO, based in Houston, is a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by CITGO Holding Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela SA, the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
