Otis Spunkmeyer names new VP of retail sales

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- Baked goods maker Otis Spunkmeyer Inc. has announced that Doug Deeth has joined the company as vice president of sales for the retail division.

Deeth comes to Otis Spunkmeyer with 28 years of diverse retail sales experience. Previously, he was with Kodak, dealing with national accounts such as Winn Dixie and NASCAR. From Kodak, he undertook his first private-equity experience, joining the Niles Spice Co. as vice president of sales. It was bought out by Quaker. He then joined Continental Mills as vice president of its consumer products [image-nocss] group.

At Otis Spunkmeyer, Deeth will be responsible for growing its retail business, the San Leandro, Calif.-based company said.

Otis Spunkmeyer is a major player in the retail muffin and foodservice gourmet cookie dough categories. Its frozen cookie dough, prebaked muffins and cookies, pastries and other baked goods can be found in foodservice and retail outlets nationwide.
