Donations Herald Sheetz Opeings

New stores open in Ohio, N.C., Pa.

KENT, Ohio -- Employees of a Kent, Ohio, Sheetz convenience store (pictured) hosted a community open house in early October to celebrate the location's grand opening.

Customers were invited to sample made-to-order menu items throughout the day. Sheetz presented a $2,500 donation to the Kent Parks & Recreation Department to purchase helmets for the Boys Youth Lacrosse League.

Sheetz celebrated the grand opening of the company's 330th location the following week in Greenville, N.C. As part of the festivities, Sheetz employees [image-nocss] presented the Greenville Boys & Girls Club with $5,000 for the development of activities and programs that build character and leadership.

And Sheetz celebrated the grand opening of a c-store in Lancaster, Pa., in late August with two $1,500 donations, one to Hempfield High School to fund the Renaissance Program and the other to Penn Manor High School to support the Education Foundation.

Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz Inc. operates 327 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
