OAKLAND, Calif. -- Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings Inc. has hired Tony Sarsam, 44, as executive vice president of operations and supply chain.
Sarsam comes to Dreyer's from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay business. He joined Frito-Lay 20 years ago as a plant engineer, and progressed through a series of leadership roles in operations, plant management and sales, including regional vice president for sales and distribution in the west. Most recently, he led the development of Frito-Lay's and PepsiCo's overall supply chain and customer-service efforts as vice president [image-nocss] of go-to-market strategy.
Oakland, Calif.-based Dreyer's and its subsidiaries manufacture and distribute a variety of ice cream and frozen dessert products. Brands of frozen dessert products currently manufactured or distributed by Dreyer's in the United States include Grand, Slow Churned, Haagen-Dazs, Nestle Drumstick, Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger, Toll House, Carnation, Dibs, Push-Up, Frosty Paws, Dole, Fruit Bars, Starbucks and The Skinny Cow. The company's premium products are marketed under the Dreyer's brand name throughout the western states and Texas, and under the Edy's brand name throughout the remainder of the United States.
