GetGo Gets Four New Sites

Purchases Pittsburgh CoGo's stores

PITTSBURGH -- GetGo, Giant Eagle Inc.'s convenience store chain, is picking up four new locations through acquisition, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Giant Eagle announced it has agreed to buy four CoGo's convenience stores, which the company plans to quickly convert to GetGo stores. All the sites include fuel stations. Three of the CoGo's locations are based in the fast-growing North Hills suburbs of Pittsburgh. The fourth location is in Verona, Pa.

In a statement, Giant Eagle emphasized that all four CoGo's locations are in close [image-nocss] proximity to a number of Giant Eagle stores. Through the acquisition, Giant Eagle hopes to also expand its popular fuel-perks promotion, in which Giant Eagle customers can receive discounts on gas at GetGo locations through use of their Advantage cards in Giant Eagle stores.
