GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Steve Henry, vice president of sales for Gilbarco Veeder-Root, has confirmed that he will leave the company at the end of August. He will be fulfilling a long-time goal of running his own business out of his home state of Florida. Henry will continue to lead the sales team until his departure, working closely with his replacement for a smooth transition.
"Steve Henry led the Gilbarco Veeder-Root sales force for six years and played a key role in the company's growth over that time," said Martin Gafinowitz, president for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "[image-nocss] Steve had originally intended to retire in December of 2005, but agreed to stay on to help lead the North American business through changes in other areas. We will miss his leadership skills and ability to develop strong relationships with customers and distributors, as well as his focus on sales team development.
Gilbarco has hired Keith Moye to take the role of vice president of sales upon Henry's departure. Keith comes to the company via General Electric Co.'s Sensing Division, where he was serving as general manager of sales for the Americas. He started on May 8 and will undergo a three-month Danaher training program and assume his new role at the end of July. Moye will not assume any Gilbarco Veeder-Root responsibilities until this program is complete. Henry will retain all of his current responsibilities and full control of the sales organization until then.
