ONEIDA, N.Y. -- Sean Brown (pictured) has been named director of the Oneida Nation's SavOn convenience store and fueling station operations. He will oversee a dozen fuel and c-store locations in the Oneida, N.Y., area, as well as wholesale operations.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in retail.
Before joining the Nation, he was general manager for Restaurant Technologies Inc., Cincinnati. He previously held retail management positions with Lykins Cos. Inc., a Cincinnati-based marketer for large oil companies such as CITGO, BP, Exxon Mobil, Marathon Oil and [image-nocss] Shell. He also held a number of c-store retail marketing and sales development positions with the Shell Oil Co.
The Oneida Indian Nation operates the SavOn chain of gasoline and diesel stations and c-stores in Oneida and Madison counties in New York. Each location offers a range of convenience food and other essentials such as motor oil, windshield washer fluid, batteries and film. Pay-at-the-pump services are offered at all locations.
The Oneida Indian Nation is a federally recognized Indian nation in Central New York. It is a member of the Haudenosaunee (hoe-dee-no-so-nee), known in English as the Six Nations or Iroquois Confederacy. The word Haudenosaunee means "people of the longhouse."
