Kimmes Departs Kum & Go

Lemons promoted to division vice president

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Steve Kimmes, division vice president for the West Division at convenience retailer Kum & Go LC, has left the company.

"After serving 25 years, Steve Kimmes announced his decision to depart Kum & Go in March to pursue other opportunities, projects and callings that he and his family have a passion for," said Megan Elfers, director of marketing and communications, who joined the company in mid-March.

"Dave Lemons has been promoted to the role of division vice president for the West Division," she added. "Dave brings retail experience, a sales mentality and a fresh perspective to the operations team. We are excited to have him in this position."

In early March, Kum & Go named Marty Roush as division vice president of operations for the company's South Division.

When contacted by CSP Daily News, Kimmes, who was previously senior vice president of operations, preferred not to comment on the record.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go is the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the United States.
