Kocolene Gets First CEO Not From Myers Family

Corporation announces several executive changes

SEYMOUR, Ind. -- Kevin Johnson has advanced to the position of CEO of Kocolene Development Corp., Gary Myers, chairman, recently announced.

Previously, Myers also held the title of CEO. This is the first time in the corporation’s 77-year history that someone other than a member of the Myers family has held that title, said Myers.

Johnson sits on the corporation’s board of directors, executive committee and management committee.

He has been with Kocolene since 2003, serving as CFO during that time.

Also, Doug Prather has been named president of Kocolene Development, in addition to his current leadership role at Ranger Enterprises, the company’s warehousing, recycling and logistics provider.

He is a member of the corporation’s board, executive committee and management committee. Prather began his career with Kocolene in 1990.

The board of Kocolene Development now consists of Gary Myers (chairman), Johnson, Prather, Bob Myers, Andrea Myers and Dan DeHayes. The executive committee consists of Gary Myers, Johnson and Prather. The members of the management committee include Gary Myers, Johnson, Prather, Steve Goins, Ben Reinhart, Lance Gentry and Debbie VonDielingen.

Ben Reinhart has moved to the position of vice president of merchandising. Previously, he was controller, Ben had a desire to move back into the merchandising area of our company. Debbie VonDielingen was recently appointed to the position of controller. Previously accounting manager, she has been with the company since 1995.

Celeste Lucas has been assigned the expanded role of merchandise associate and pricebook administrator. She joined Kocolene in 2001.

Kocolene Marketing LLC, the retail division of Seymour, Ind.-based holding company Kocolene Development, owns and operates five Fast Max small-format gasoline-only stations and five Smokers Host Discount Tobacco Stores in Indiana and Kentucky. It sold 14 Fast Max convenience stores to Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. in Sept. 2015.
