Little General Acquires Two Prima Marketing Sites

First Shell-branded locations for W.Va.-based chain

BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Little General Store Inc. said that it has acquiring two locations formerly operating as Prima Marketing/7-Eleven stores in Princeton and Kegley, W.Va. With these two additions, Little General Store now has five locations in Mercer County, W.Va., and 102 overall retail-type locations.

The store in Princeton opened as a Little General Store on April 3. The store in Kegley opened as a Little General Store on April 10.

Both stores will offer the Shell fuel brand, which are the first two Shell-branded locations in the Little General Store chain.

Brian Waugh, Little General Store's director of retail, said, "We are very excited to welcome the employees and customers of these two locations to the Little General family. Located within our existing territory, these two locations have been known for providing quality customer service for many years. We are excited about the possibilities of these two locations, and we would like to thank Prima Marketing/7-Eleven for everything they've done to build these businesses."

These two locations will also have an ATM, New River Coffee & Cappuccino, Siberian Chill Frozen Beverages and "everyday value" on staples such as milk, ice cream, pop, snacks, beer, wine, sandwiches, cigarettes, tobacco and novelties. At the Princeton location, the company's fourth, it will continue to offer Subway and roller grill, while adding a fresh pastry program. At the Kegley location, it will continue to offer the roller grill and hot deli foods, while adding movie rentals and possibly some type of a branded foodservice.

"We look forward to leveraging our strengths and operating capability to further expand the Little General business model to the residents and travelers of Mercer County and southern West Virginia," Waugh said.

Beckley, W.Va.-based Little General Store is an 88 location convenience store chain with 86 stores in West Virginia and two stores in Virginia.
