The company opened the c-store, which also offers fuel, ahead of a replacement for a nearby grocery store that is under construction; the company expects that store to open in 2017.
The Martin’s Express occupies a “highly visible” outlot location, the company said.
“It’s been a team effort to focus the best of what Martin’s offers into a smaller footprint,” Phil Plummer, vice president of Martin’s Super Markets sales and marketing, told Goshen News. “At Martin’s Express, we’ve assembled a group of specialists who will be dedicated from day one to presenting the best, freshest and highest-quality favorites shoppers have asked us to offer.”
Martin’s Express will offer a wide range of ready-to-eat hot and cold foods, including Eisenberg jumbo all-beef franks, Bob Evan’s biscuits and gravy, Martin’s Signature doughnuts, Bosco sticks, popcorn chicken and fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads.
The store also features a Coffee Beanery coffee bar, four varieties of Caribbean Cream and f’real milkshakes.
The store features an eat-in seating area.
It also offers convenience grocery, dairy, frozen foods and automotive supplies, as well as a Notre Dame Federal Credit Union ATM and Hoosier Lottery ticket sales.
