Love's Reaches 300-Store Milestone

Lenoir City, Tenn., event includes NASCAR drivers, community volunteer effort (slideshow)

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. on Tuesday reached the milestone of 300 store locations with the opening of its newest travel stop, located in Lenoir City, Tenn.

The company held a grand opening event for its customers and the community that include appearances by FrontRow Motorsports NASCAR drivers No. 38 David Gilliland and No. 34 David Ragan with the Love's racecar and a ribbon cutting put on by the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce at the new Love's Travel Stop on Interstate 40.

Love's presented the community with a $15,000 donation towards the restoration of Lenoir City's downtown War Memorial building and a $2,000 donation for the construction of a handicapped- accessible community park.

Love's employees from stores in the region also held a volunteer event cleaning and repainting picnic tables at the Lenoir City park following the NASCAR and Chamber of Commerce event at the stores. The city's Parks & Recreation Department coordinated the volunteer effort.

Founded in 1964 by Tom Love, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is headquartered in Oklahoma City, Okla., and remains entirely family owned and operated. With more than 300 locations and 175 Love's Truck Tire Care centers in 39 states, Love's will open 25 new travel stops in 2013.
