Love's Travel Stop Breaks Ground in Barstow

Tax revenues expected to exceed $100,000 per year
BARSTOW, Calif. -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. said that it has broken ground on its newest travel stop location, in Barstow, Calif., located off Interstate 15 at exit 178. The store is expected to open in late spring of 2009 and will host a grand opening at that time.

The Barstow Love's will employ between 30 and 50 people and will contribute in tax revenues more than $100,000 each year.

"We're excited to continue our growth in California and across the country, and we're proud that we contribute financially to the local economies in locations where [image-nocss] we operate,bCrLf said Greg Love, president of Love's Development Cos. "This location fits well with our commitment to offer a variety of amenities for professional drivers and the motoring public,bCrLf he said.

This location will feature 90 truck parking spaces, as well as showers, CAT scales and other amenities.

Founded in 1964 by Tom Love, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is headquartered in Oklahoma City and remains family owned and operated. With more than 200 locations in more than 30 states, Love's current growth rate is approximately 15 stores per year.
