Mobil Station Deal Closes
85 independent, 12 dealer locations officially transferred to Alliance Energy
WALTHAM, Mass. -- The transaction for the sale of 85 Mobil-branded stations owned by independent franchisees and 12 owned by dealers by Exxon Mobil Corp. to Alliance Energy LLC closed February 3, reported The Hartford Courant.
None of the brand names will change, said the report. The franchisees will continue to own and run their properties.
ExxonMobil reached an agreement with Alliance Energy last October for the sale of the real-estate.
"ExxonMobil is committed to making this conversion as smooth as possible," Kristen A. Hellmer, a spokesperson for [image-nocss] Irving, Texas-based ExxonMobil, said when the deal was announced. "We don't expect this change to impact our customers, and they will continue to be able to purchase the same high-quality Mobil products."
