Stotler succeeds Holly Alfano, who recently resigned her position with NATSO to become the executive director of the International Lubricants Manufacturers Association.

In his new role, Stotler will lead the association’s legislative policy and lobbying efforts on behalf of the truckstop and travel plaza industry. He also will oversee NATSO’s relationship with government regulators.

“I am pleased to congratulate Brad on his new position as vice president of government affairs,” said Mullings. “As we work to serve our members, I’m confident that Brad’s expertise and energy will strengthen our efforts to champion policies that help them succeed in their businesses. We are fortunate to have him on our team.”

Stotler served as NATSO’s director of government affairs since 2010. During the last five years, Stotler successfully represented NATSO on issues related to transportation and energy.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity,” said Stotler. “I look forward to continuing to foster relationships with government and elected officials to advance the priorities of this important industry.”

Before joining NATSO, Stotler worked at the American Trucking Associations and as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Timothy Johnson (R-Ill.).

Alexandria, Va.-based NATSO is the trade association of America’s travel plaza and truckstop industry. Founded in 1960 as the National Association of Truck Stop Operators, NATSO represents the industry on legislative and regulatory matters; serves as the official source of information on the diverse travel plaza and truckstop industry; provides education to its members; conducts an annual convention and trade show; and supports efforts to generally improve the business climate in which its members operate.
