New Leadership at NECSA

O'Donoghue takes the helm of New England c-store group

STOUGHTON, Mass. -- The board of the New England Convenience Store Association (NECSA) recently announced that Diana O'Donoghue has been promoted as NECSA's executive director.

O'Donoghue joined NECSA in January of 2003 as government relations director. Prior to joining NECSA, O'Donoghue served as legislative counsel and associate counsel of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors for over six years. For the last decade, O'Donoghue has worked in the legal and government relations field, including serving as general counsel for the Massachusetts [image-nocss] House of Representative's Minority Leadership.

Over the last four years at NECSA, O'Donoghue has provided legislative leadership for NECSA's six New England chapters, worked to develop association partnerships, and managed NECSA's membership and volunteer committees. In 2005, O'Donoghue earned the professional designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives, and she is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Rogers Bush, NECSA's 2006 president, said, On behalf of the entire board, we are delighted to have someone with Diana's legislative expertise, endless energy and passion for our industry, leading this organization into a bright and promising future.

NECSA is a regional trade association representing 2,500 retailers and suppliers from the convenience store and petroleum industry in the six New England states.
