HOUSTON -- On the heels of Alimentation Couche-Tard's acquisition of 16 convenience stores from Conway Oil in New Mexico, 38 retail outletsincluding c-stores, truckstops and related propertieshave gone up for sale in several parts of the country.
A block of nine facilities in Wisconsin and Minnesota, a block of 20 locations in Missouri and Arkansas and a separate block of nine locations in Texas have all gone onto the market.
Commercial real estate consulting firm Situs Inc., which did not name the three companies, was recently [image-nocss] engaged to manage the disposition of nine c-stores located across the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin. All of the c-stores included in the sale maintain fee simple ownership interests. The average size store is approximately 2,000 to 2,500 sq. ft., and the majority of the stores are in smaller metropolitan areas or rural areas. All of the stores provide service for unbranded gasoline.
Also, Situs has been contracted to handle the disposition of 18 c-stores, two travel centers, a former corporate headquarters office complex and one redevelopment site. The properties, located throughout southern Missouri and northeastern Arkansas, include a number of high-volume stores, as well as a small number of properties that are leased to dealers. The majority of the properties operate under the Conoco brand and many feature cobranding and liquor sales.
And Situs has been contracted to handle the disposition of nine c-stores and properties located throughout the greater Beaumont, Texas, area.
Houston-based Situs is actively marketing all of these sites to industry contacts, regional and national c-store operators and brokers on a one, some or all basis.
