Oneslager Receives Special Pinnacle Award

Flash Foods, Ricker's, Kroger, WSCO also honored

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. has named the winners of the 2006 Pinnacle Awards. Awards were given out during Pinnacle's Summit, a two-day annual client conference featuring general sessions, best practice breakouts, and technology closeups, held two weeks ago in Fort Worth, Texas.

We were glad to welcome our clients to Fort Worth and spend two days interacting and discussing how Pinnacle solutions and technology can work for their businesses, said Bob Johnson, president of Pinnacle. Our Partner Showcase was particularly strong and well attended, [image-nocss] and our speaker lineup included some of the top companies in the world and in our industry.

Presentations were made to industry leaders in a number of categories:

Flash Foods, Waycross, Ga., operator of 180 convenience stores in Georgia and northern Florida, received an award for Outstanding Technology Achievement. During 2005, it successfully implemented Loyalink loyalty solution as well as item-level inventory and computer-assisted ordering. Flash Foods has been a Pinnacle client since 1996. Ricker Oil Co., Anderson, Ind., which has more than 30 c-stores in east central Indiana, also received an Outstanding Technology Achievement award for its commitment to and accomplishments in technology last year with its use of Enterprise Performance Management business intelligence suite deployed via Software as a Service (SaaS). It has been a client of Pinnacle's since 1999. The Kroger Co., Cincinnati, was honored for Excellence in Innovation for its enhancements during 2005 related to Fuel Smart and fuel delivery safeguards. Kroger spans many states with store formats that include grocery and multi-department stores, c-stores and mall jewelry stores. WSCO Petroleum Corp., Portland, Ore.which serves 150 stores in Oregon and Washington including 49 gas stations, 24 c-stores, eight smoke shops and 11 car washesreceived the Excellence in Collaboration award. WSCO was Pinnacle's first production client for Symphony Auditor. It is one of the largest-volume independent petroleum distributors in the Northwest. It distributes unbranded gasoline using WSCO's Astro name along with branded products from several major oil companies. A special recognition award was presented to Richard Oneslager for his commitment to technology standards and overall service to the industry. He is the president of Balmar Petroleum, a wholesale fuel business and c-store operations company. His retail business operates 57 c-stores in Colorado and Oregon. Oneslager has served on the NACS board for six years and now serves as vice chairman of research and technology. He is also current chairman of the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS). Ultimate Technology, Victor, N.Y., was awarded Partner of the Year. The company is dedicated to providing the retail sector with open-architecture systems and services. Pinnacle's Palm POS runs on Ultimate Technology's UltimaTouch 1800 Series POS Touch Screen Workstation.
