Parker's Names Jim Evans Director of Operations

Hiring prepares chain for "unprecedented growth"

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker’s, a nationally recognized convenience store leader, recently named Jim Evans as the company’s director of operations. Evans will oversee daily operations for all 34 Parker’s stores, preparing the company for unprecedented growth.

Most recently, Evans worked at Target, where he oversaw two stores during his tenure, leading a team of five executives and 140 team members. He received the MVP award for his notable contributions to training and for team development. He also received the top contributor award for his ability to engage and improve team morale.

Prior to working at Target, he worked as a zone manager at The Pantry, where he oversaw 95 stores and led a team of 10 district managers. While there, Evans was recognized for delivering outstanding store conditions and great operational results.

Evans earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from Canisius College. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., he will relocate to Savannah to work in Parker’s corporate offices.

Parker’s currently operates 34 convenience stores dedicated to superior customer experience in seven counties throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina and sells Parker’s proprietary brand gasoline. Parker’s is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and being recognized throughout the region as the preeminent convenience store operation.
