Petro Stopping Comes to the State of Washington

Opens newest travel plaza in Spokane

EL PASO, Texas -- Petro Stopping Centers LP has opened a new travel plaza, located in Spokane, Wash., on Interstate 90 at Exit 272. The new site gives Petro 66 locations in its nationwide network and it will be the first in the state of Washington.

As we looked to expand our network it was critical that we established a presence in the Pacific Northwest, said Petro Stopping Center president, Jim Cardwell. Spokane presented us with an opportunity to construct a high quality facility from the ground up. It will become a true destination stopping center [image-nocss] for motorists driving the western stretches of [I-90].

The full-service travel plaza offers 10 truck fueling lanes, Exxon-branded gasoline and RV fueling. The site has parking for 200 trucks and offers professional driver amenities such as 11 private showers, laundry facilities, a video arcade and a TV lounge. Dining options include a full-service Iron Skillet Restaurant, a Subway sandwich shop and a variety of hot and cold snacks in the Travel Store.

The complex also includes a five bay Petro:Lube Truck Service Center for preventative maintenance, tire sales and service and emergency repair.

In late August, Petro Stopping Centers opened a new Petro franchise location in Napoleon, Ohio, at U.S. Highways 6 and 24 at the Industrial Drive Exit. The new location is the fifth Petro in the state of Ohio.

The new Petro:2 facility is open 24/7 and equipped with seven truck fuel lanes, overnight parking for 110 trucks and interstate scales. The location sells both conventional diesel fuel and biodiesel. Driver amenities include seven private showers, a TV room, video arcade and a laundromat.
