SavOn Introducing Drive-Thrus

Four Oneida Nation c-stores adding coffee, doughnut, tobacco service

ONEIDA, N.Y. -- Four select SavOn Convenience Stores have taken convenience to the next level with the introduction of drive-thru windows. All of the windows feature the opportunity to avoid parking and lines to quickly pick up coffee, doughnuts and tobacco products.

A SavOn store in Canastota and two stores in Verona offer Daylight Donuts, Green Mountain Coffee and K-Cups and select tobacco products in freestanding 12-foot-by-eight-foot drive-up kiosks just outside the stores.

The SavOn drive-thru at Dream Catcher Plaza in Oneida also features Daylight Donuts, Green Mountain Coffee and tobacco products as well as Blimpie subs and fountain drinks at a drive-up window on the side of the store.

"Drive-thrus are a level of convenience that is largely unexpected at convenience stores, but we believe it is a necessary step in the level of service we offer to our guests," SavOn Stores Operations Director Sean Brown said. "The pace of life is only getting faster and we need to make sure that we offer our guests the highest level of convenience we can to keep them on the go."

The SavOn drive-thru windows are open 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Customers can enjoy a drive-thru grand opening special of a Daylight Donut and a cup of Green Mountain Coffee for $1.49 at all four stores through the end of October, the company said.

The Oneida Indian Nation's 12 SavOn stores are located in Verona, Verona Beach, Sherrill, Oneida and Canastota, N.Y. The stores offer also offer Abbott's frozen custard and Stone Hearth Bakery & Deli, among other products and services.
